The Agreement with the Devil for Breakfast

In a short period of liberalization of the society the western filmmakers and producers appeared in Koliba as well. Beside numerous co-productions, a unique custom-made Italian version of film the Agreement with Devil was made (Zmluva s diablom, directed by Jozef Zachar, ČSSR, 1968, 80 min.). An insignificant comedy with add-ons and with sexualized dabbing, has turned into an equally insignificant softporno. It proved that Slovak filmmakers are also quickly adaptable for the free market conditions, and that Slovak female actors know to show more to the foreign-currency payer. At the saturday breakfast at the Art Café, a film theoretician Eva Fialová, author of publication Eros, sexus and gender in Slovak film (The Slovak Film Institute, 2013) will present some parts of the film and speak about that bizarre transformation.
