The bizarre and at festivals successful movie Animals portrays Anna and Nick who decide to go to the countryside with the intention to fix their falling-apart relationship. From the moment they collide with sheep on the road they face a series of disconcerting and unlikely events and the doubts of the heroine about their relationship start to overlap with the doubts of the viewers. Is the story they are watching real, or is it made up by the heroine, the filmmaker or someone else?
