The Boat That Rocked

The director of Love Actually, the perennial of the Slovak TV programmes around Christmas, set his second film in the sixties and cast it with crème de la crème of the British contemporary comedy. A boat sailing in the waters of the North Sea is carrying a fictitious radio station with an illegal 24-hour broadcast. Thanks to Radio Rock, the whole of Britain can enjoy some quality music from a safe area just outside the British territorial waters. The entertaining crew of radio “pirates” is adored by everyone. Everyone but the Minister of Communications, responsible for the radio broadcast and willing to do everything in his powers to silence them.
