Scent of a Woman

A young cadet is assigned a task: to accompany the blind and partially immobile captain Faust on his way from Turin to Naples. When in Rome, the profligate captain Fausto summons a priest to ask for his blessing since he means to fulfil a suicide pact. In Naples Fausto wants to meet with his comrade-in-arms – an army officer who also lost eyesight, but who is a good drinking companion. Also in Naples is Sara, a woman in love with Fausto. Will the scent of a woman soften the heart of a blinded man for whom life has lost its meaning?
