Kuku

KUKU is a fantastic story about things that live their own lives; a tale about our child-like and dreamy visions, searching for the secrets of the unknown world existing not on the surface but inside – inside of things, devices, mechanisms and toys. This first Slovak stereoscopic 3D film emerged in the entrails of a deserted Štiavnica building “Centrálka” in summer 2012. The film will be introduced by its director Henrich Žucha. It is a part of the Visegrad programme within the main section of the seminar.

Henrich Žucha
Henrich Žucha studied electrical engineering in Banská Bystrica and puppet theatre acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. After finishing his studies, Henrich worked as an editor, spent some years in England and Ireland as well as Prague where he works as a cameraman, editor and director even today. He cooperates with the CIANT International Centre for Art and New Technologies and is a board member of SPAFi – Society for the support of computer animation and film. He is the founder of h21studio (2012) and a Banská Štiavnica based civic association FILMODROM (2011), focusing on education and production in the sphere of audio-visual and new media. The experimental film Kuku is a result of a three-week long workshop, which took place in 2012 in Banská Štiavnica.
