Blue Velvet

College student Jeffrey returns to his seemingly idyllic hometown, where he finds a severed human ear on one of his walks in the park. He hands his disturbing discovery to the police inspector, whose daughter tells him more about the case. Fascinated by the bar singer Dorothy, mixed-up in the case, Jeffrey sneaks into her apartment, where he witnesses a rape. Dorothy and her child are involved with Frank, a psychopathic villain.
