Here and Elsewhere

In the creative period which begins by filming Here and somewhere else, begins Jean-Luc Godard to experiment with video and from the political polemic gradually passes to an examination of the ways in which people perceive themselves and others. The film, however, is an evidence of two of his creative periods - even more of a radical period - which he allowed himself to become fascinated with video options. The experiment in which Godard and his colleagues combine documentary images of the Palestinian liberation movement provide us with sociological insight into the lives of Europeans, showing that our "somewhere else" can be for someone his "here"...
