On the way to the hospital where his wife is giving birth to their child, police officer Sergei overlooks stopping a car wherein which this neglect kills a little boy. In a dilemma involving the atonement for his crime in prison or to sacrifice his family, he chooses the second option and asks colleagues to help him cover up of his guilt. However, this act is the beginning of lawlessness, which will require even more innocent victims. Each of the characters however has a choice whether to conform or not conform to the imaginary edge of the law...
