Why Do People Need Crises? (discussion)

krizy.jpg

We usually see crises as a dangerous, expensive, and exhausting state that diverts human energy and attention from the usual agenda and priorities. However, human history can be viewed as a living chain of genre-diverse, often tragic social crises, interlaced only with rare periods of prosperity and peace. Vladimíra Čavojová and Ivan Brezina, authors of the book – Why Do People Need Crises?, will discuss how people deal with crises, but will also talk about the crises that are yet to come.

Admission to the discussion is free of charge. The event was supported by public funds from the Slovak Arts Council.
