Ivana Mer as the musical accompaniment for the movie Tabu

Ivana Mer already captivated the audience of 4 Elements with her concert last year. This time she has composed music for the movie Tabu and will showcase her musical art at a concert in the Old Castle on Friday night. Ivana’s music is inspired by natural elements and inner worlds of the soul. She has a lot of experience with audio-visual, theatrical or dance projects as well as with concerts not only in Slovakia but also abroad. She writes and sings in Slovak, English and in her own language – Ivanish.

Tabu: A Story of the South Seas

A live-action film with ethnographic elements tells a story of two lovers from the island of Bora Bora. She has been chosen as a virgin for the gods and so they flee to a nearby island. The island is however under the colonial control which causes the young couple more problems. The last film of F. W. Murnau talks about a clash of cultures.
